The Brooklin Redmen have been awarded games 1 and 2 of their MSL semi-final series with the Peterborough Lakers by OLA and MSL ruling. The Laker wins in the first two games in the series have been ruled forfeited and the Brooklin Redmen have been awarded wins in those games. This takes place because player Kyle Laverty was utilized in both games, but was supposed to be under suspension for a having received his second game misconduct in the final game of the regular season on July 22nd.. Usually the OLA notifies the teams of player suspensions, that has been standard procedure in the past. However in this situation the OLA did not inform the Peterborough Lakers of Kyle Laverty’s suspension until the Monday afternoon August 9th. Gm , Jamie Batley did not dress Laverty in Monday night’s game as he aware that Laverty was suspended.
