PETERBOROUGH, ON - The Peterborough Petes got some good news following a procedure being done on defenceman Clark Seymour's injured shoulder. The procedure was originally going to remove a ligament from Seymour's leg and put it in his arm in order to increase blood flow to his hand. When the doctors entered Seymour's arm they found a perfect ligament in the same arm and just switched it out instead of entering in two different positions. The effects of this change mean that Seymour will not have to stop skating in order for his body to heal and may be able to return to the lineup prior to the originally expected date. In Seymour's absence, the Petes have been practicing with Zach Tatrn on defence and will also call-up Rickey Buehler and Mike Hennessey to help get their lineup to eighteen skaters. |
