Lakers take a two game lead over the Redmen in their MSL semi-final series Peterborough Lakers beat the Brooklin Redmen 15-12 in game two. The Redmen scored the first goal of the game, but the Lakers quickly took control. The Peterborough Lakers spread the ball and the scoring with six different scorers producing a seven to one lead by the end of the first. The Lakers held a 12 to 4 lead mid way through the second period before the tempo of the game changed. In the third frame John Grant Junior had the only two goals for the Lakers as the Redmen crawled back to within two before the end of the third. Angus Goodleaf put up the final stop to the Redmen rebound. "There was a good crowd to watch the game in Iroquois Park; as always the Laker fans were a noisy part of it. We expect a good audience as the Lakers try to extend their lead back home at the Memorial Center on Monday.", Karl McFadden noted.
