PETERBOROUGH, ON - The Peterborough Lakers have gotten out to the perfect start. With just four games in the books the Lakers sit atop the Major Series Lacrosse standings thanks in part to a big 12-5 victory in Six Nations last night that saw the Lakers record improve to 4-0 on the season. The Lakers were led offensively by their top five consisting of Shawn Evans, Scott Evans, John Grant Jr., Mark Steenhuis, and John Tavares. Last night marked the first time all five were in the lineup together and they did not disappoint. Next action for the Lakers is Thursday night when they play host to the Brooklin Redmen, 8:00 PM at the Peterborough Memorial Centre. Thursday is also Breast Cancer Awareness night so fans are encouraged to wear pink to support the cause. |
