PETERBOROUGH, ON - The Peterborough Lakers continued their dominance of the Kitchener-Waterloo Kodiaks tonight as they improved to 2-0 on the season with a 10-8 victory. Although it was closer than most fans had hoped, the Lakers were able to step up at the right time and bury the Kodiaks for the second straight game. The Lakers were led offensively by John Grant Jr. and defensively by Ryan Sharp and Kyle Laverty. Newcomer Mike Thompson played strong in net, coming up clutch at key times. Next action for the Lakers is Saturday night when they play host to their long time rival, the Brampton Excelsiors, 7:00 PM at the Peterborough Memorial Centre. |
